Denizen.zone initiative

- an initiative to securing democracy's future. (Ensuring that democracy HAS a future...)

Page/info status: Public DRAFT, version 2YA101V15E.

Establishing a pan-European platform for decentralized, non-political, decentralized constitution protection. The European Union framework for Digital Identity can be used enable elligeable voters to participate in multi-step voting, where voters get their "vote back" to pass on to existing political parties for other topics. "- ...

Immediate plans:

A: Crowdfunding to establish this initiative formally.

B: Participants in the crowdfunding will be invited to get involved, collaborate and help shape this initiative and bring it forward.

C: Registration of an democratic entity. (Votable party.) (First in Germany, other EU countries to follow.)

Subsequently..:

D: Organisational matters / administrative: THIS will be a 100% transparent organization; and the process of reaching there will also be transparent/documented, both for our own credibility, but also for others to get inspired by and save time later in similar efforts.

E: Start working on getting the German EID Digital identity distributed to all elligible residents. (Currently EID is sold to "interested people", but this is too important to not let everyone get one, as it will become a critical element of our democracy and government functions.)

F: Open, participative modelling platform for UBI.

Crowdfunding

Crowd-funding to get this started: https://openCollective.com/denizen-zone-initiative

Perspective: This crowdfunding will help initiate the registration of a voting-delegation party that will enter into German elections, use the votes for 3 distinct causes, then give the votes back to the voters for them to delegate their votes on all other matters to any other German political party. This is part of the functional potential of the existing EU digital identity specification, which the current, German EID is based on.

How this party will work:

Step one: The first/main vote goes to secure the following 3 points:

  1. Distribute "EID", "electronic digital identity" to all elligeable German voters, free of charge. Those that has already paid for their EID, can get a refund.
  2. Add UBI as a human/natural right to the constitution, to make sure that any kind of future Grundeinkommen/Basic Income is fair and a democratic right for everyone, prevent it from being used for "social control".
  3. Enforce the usage of truly open/transparent algorithms by requiring that in the constitution: Any/all algorithms to be used in/for/against society must be 100% open and transparent. A subsequent change to this constitutional ammendment should require 75% majority vote.

Will this work..?..

As with all political votes, numbers count. THIS one is different, though, because..:

3 essential elements:

Digital identity.

The "U" in "UBI" = UNconditional (The point/"definition" from the initial UBI discussion in the 1960s.)

Transparency: A.I., etc. (all publicly used algorithms)

Terminology: "Denizen" (definition)

"Citizen" (German: "Bürger") refers to the identity given to you by the nation state, as in your passport or national id card, which CAN be cancelled/restricted by the authorities. It is not really "yours" as in "controlled by you", but for you to use under certain conditions.

In our context, "Denizen" offers a potential reference to your own, real, independent persona; your "real" identity as proven by your body, protected by your human/natural rights, which can NOT/NEVER be removed, cancelled or restricted by anyone.

Secondly, in "real life", we all have various "roles" or "contexts" where we are known to the other participants with often only parts of our real/full identities. For example; your co-students know you as a student, perhaps also on the sports ground or the like, and at work, your co-workers know you in that context, but not necessarily how you are as a student, or personally. If you have children, the parents of your children's friends know you as a parent, but not necessarily anything about how you are as a student, worker, or personally. This is all natural, normal consequences of being part of society. Reputation-wise, you have more than "one hat", and therefore more than one "reputation". The term Denizen also may reflect that; Ref. https://dictionary.com/denizen
